LGE. FIELD RUCK
RUGGEDLY MADE FIELD PACK.MORE S
Rock Solid Bag!!!
I normally do not leave reviews...not enough time in the day but this bag warrants it. I got the bag for free because of a glich on their website that said 0.00 so i paid 16.76 in S&H. I own four or five bags 5.11 72 hour bag, blackhawk 72 hour bag, etc and have never pushed them to the limit because of the high cost of the equipment. I got this for free so i decided to see what it can handle. I loaded it full of sand in all five exterior pockets and three quarters of the way in the main compartment with a sleeping mat laid between the sand and the bag. I took it to the Sierra mountains and stopped halfway up the trail to tie it to the back of the pickup by the drag handle and drove for a half a mile. Dusted it off and humped that heavy sonofbitch three miles up and down the switchbacks taking it off a few times to throw it down the rocky trail...needless to say i emptied it upon walking back. I took it home and blew it off with an air compressor and checked the buckles and seams. Bag it tough...tougher than me and will carry anything you ask it to, probably more then you need unless to are on an extended op. No complaints, far exeeds the Alice pack and i seriously hope they do not discontinue this bag. I Will be getting the multicam version soon.
Holds Everything
I just bought this bag through an Army Surplus store. I replaced an old hiking camping bag with this one. I was surprised how much it could hold and the very high quality of the bag for the price. It holds ALL my gear, and I keep it packed as a go-bag. I'm thoroughly impressed at the lined pockets and main compartment. The molle tracks on it also are a nice addition as well. I look forward to utilizing them for strapping additional equipment. I highly recommend this for the price...
Good Piece of Gear
I used this bag for a duty bag while a Security Forces Airman at Charleston AFB SC. it was large enough and durable enough to carry the complete acu iterceptor body armour system with all attachments and other tactical gear required by unit leadership. i would recomend this bag to anyone needing a good piece of gear.
Excellent Service

Awesome Product
This is the best bag I have ever owned. I purchased mine back in 2004 and after numerous field operations, deployments and hiking excursions this bag is still holding strong.
a++
i use this bag to haul my paintball gear and it does that easly..very well made bag and now my whole team wants one..great buy for the money!!
Bad Ass Bag!
I ordered this and received it 6 days later in Afghanistan! I ordered it in OD Green and is darker than the picture and that's good. it's made of strong, thick material for sure to last. I like that the bottom of the bag has a protective material to keep dirt and water out. Draw string to keep items inside like a regular ruck. Plenty of pockets and molle attachment options. Wide shoulders straps! I ordered 2 bags for my Wife and I to use for R&R from Afghanistan but this bag is bad ass and is definitely going to be my new Assault pack!!
Tough Bag
I got this bag a least 4 years ago from my parents as a b-day present for Boy Scout and now i'm 17 and this has become my main bag for hunting , camping, bug out, and i will use when i enlist in the army this bag is tough and waterproof
Squad Standard
I bought one of these in olive drab on Fort Myer around 2007 or so. One of my Soldiers and I saw them on clearance for 50% off and figured we couldn't pass up such a deal. Needless to say, others in my squad ventured over there themselves shortly afterwards and this became a squad standard of sorts.
The main compartment is massive, and easily holds stuff that takes a bit more cramming to fit into the old ALICE ruck. The outer pockets are impressively sized as well, and the zippered side pouches are great for bulky items (I use one side for my shave kit, to include shower shoes). The rubberized bottom is great for moist areas and helps ensure you don't arrive at your destination with damp clothes.
This pack lacks a frame, making it less-than-ideal as a replacement for the rucksack, but it is perfect for an oversized assault pack/72-hr kit or as a less bulky alternative to the ruck for regular travel. Mine came in handy while travelling around DC or during training conferences in recruiting, and in such scenarios it looks (a little) more refined than the camouflaged and often dirty ruck or assault pack we are issued.
I just hopped on this site earlier and was surprised to see the price these still sell for. For $67 I almost wish I needed another, but the quality and workmanship ensure that mine won't need replacing anytime soon.
